Question: Is it open for visitors?
Yes, Veteran docents are on duty Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m, they will guide visitors through the museum exhibits and library, and will provide an overview of the building.

Question: What is the relationship between the Town of Danville and the Veterans Memorial Building?
The Town of Danville holds the building “in trust” for the Veterans. The Town led the planning effort, committed substantial financing for the 2010 renovation and expansion and is providing long term maintenance. The Veterans Organizations have assured efforts to raise funds to help fund the project.
Question: What services, activities and opportunities does the building provide for our Veterans?
- Appointments are available with a representative from the County Veterans Service Office to provide assistance in obtaining eligible benefits
- Resource Center with computer access and information on Veterans’ services and programs
- Meeting site for all affiliated Veteran Service Organizations’ activities
- An extensive library with books on military history for personal enjoyment and research
- Displays of memorabilia serve to educate and to honor those who have served
- A gathering place for social interaction and mutual support
Question: Can I make a donation?
Yes, your support is needed. Naming opportunities are available including different areas of the building as well as recognition on the donor plaque. You can honor or memorialize family members or friends. Additionally, donations can be directed toward operating expenses or an endowment fund.
Question: Are the facilities available for public use?
Yes, the auditorium (in part or whole) and rooms of the Senior Center are available for private parties, organization meetings or business functions. Reservations can be arranged through the Town of Danville. The Veterans Wing is dedicated for the exclusive use of Veterans organizations.
Question: Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, the Veterans Memorial Building Development Committee of San Ramon Valley is a 501(c)3 qualified organization and your gift is tax deductible as allowed by current law.
